What information we collect

When you use the contact form, we collect the information you choose to provide:

  • your name;
  • your email address;
  • your telephone number, if you provide it;
  • the type of project you select; and
  • the project details and other information in your message.

The form also includes a hidden website field used as a spam-protection honeypot. It should normally be empty and is not used as enquiry content. The website does not ask for special-category information; please do not send information that is not needed for your enquiry.

Cloudflare Pages and its Functions may also process technical information associated with requests, such as IP address, browser or device information and request logs, as part of hosting, security and delivery. The site does not use analytics, advertising cookies or profiling.

Why we use your information

We use enquiry information to:

  • respond to your enquiry;
  • discuss your requirements and arrange a quotation;
  • communicate with you about requested building, joinery or landscaping services; and
  • maintain relevant business records where necessary.

We do not use enquiry details for marketing.

Our lawful bases

For an enquiry about a quotation or services, we generally rely on the UK GDPR lawful basis of taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. For general enquiries, related correspondence and relevant business administration, we rely on legitimate interests: responding to prospective customers, managing enquiries and keeping appropriate business records. We balance those interests against your privacy rights.

Where we must keep financial or business records to comply with a legal obligation, we rely on the legal-obligation basis. We do not rely on consent for ordinary enquiry handling. If consent is ever used for a separate purpose, you will be told what it covers and how to withdraw it.

Who receives your information?

Ashley Collett and Darren Robinson may access enquiries through the business email inbox. The website uses the following service providers:

  • Cloudflare Pages and Pages Functions host the website and handle the request that submits the form. Cloudflare may process form and technical request data to provide, secure and operate its services. Its current Data Processing Addendum describes its processor terms and transfer safeguards.
  • Resend delivers the enquiry email to the business inbox. The website sends Resend the submitted name, email address, telephone number, project type and message, together with the reply-to address. See Resend's Data Processing Addendum and privacy policy for its processing and transfer information.
  • Google Fonts supplies the typefaces used by the website. Your browser may send technical request information to Google when it loads those font files. The contact-form fields are not sent to Google by this website. See Google's privacy information for its current arrangements.
  • Sanity provides the published project content and image delivery used by this website. Contact-form submissions are not sent to Sanity by this website. See Sanity's privacy information for its processing details.

We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for unrelated marketing.

International transfers

Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data-protection law requires a restricted transfer, the relevant provider must use an applicable lawful transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards. Provider arrangements can change over time; the linked provider information describes their current positions.

How long we keep your information

Enquiries that do not become jobs should normally be deleted from the business's own records and mailbox within 12 months, unless there is a legitimate reason to retain them for longer.

Quotations, invoices, completed-job records and financial information are kept for as long as necessary to meet applicable UK tax, accounting and legal requirements. The exact period depends on the record and the obligation that applies.

Service providers may retain technical data, delivery records or other service information under their own terms and retention policies. Those periods are controlled by the relevant provider rather than by the business.

Your privacy rights

Depending on the circumstances and the lawful basis that applies, you may have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of your personal information;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • ask us to erase information where there is no good reason for us to keep using it;
  • ask us to restrict how we use it;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests; and
  • ask for data portability where that right applies.

If we ever process your information on the basis of consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time. To exercise a right or ask a privacy question, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We normally respond without undue delay and within one month where the law requires it.

Complaints

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the supervisory authority for data protection in the UK. Details are available at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

We may update this notice when the website, enquiry process, business structure or service providers change.
